I can Exersauce

Scarlett's new venture this week is trialing her Farmyard Exersaucer. She has recently been trying to "stand" so this lets her practice putting weight on her feet, and gaining more balance in her core, head and neck. It also encourages her to reach and grab for things.

Scarlett's BFF

This is mild chatter compared to how excited and chatty SG is with this piece of paper on our fridge. Anytime she sees it, she get soooo chatty and happy every time. Instant mood lifter for her!

It's the Great Pumpkin Scarlett Grace!

Today was our first trip to the Pumpkin Patch. My parents tagged along and we met up with the Moodys (Sammy) & Baldwins (Ella & Emmy) to pick up some pumpkins. This year for Scarlett, Sammy, & Emmy was not as exciting as it was for their cheesy parents. But we are already in the talks for next year when the little ones will actually be able to teeter around. Too cute! And in a few more years they will be more like Ella and play on all the fun kid stuff (like the bouncy pumpkin and giant dirt clod?)

SG is obsessed with biting her ovies and staring at her feet

We couldn't get enough of the head cut outs!

Scarlett fever with video overload

So after many days and hours of trying to get these darn things to upload, I finally figured out the back door route through YouTube. So...they are a little over sized for the space provided and I'm not savvy enough to know how to fix it right now. I'm just glad I could FINALLY publish them! Well worth it though.

I can roll!

After 1 day of practice, the very next day SG rolled over on her own! Now that we are beginning to get a handle on her acid reflux (it's still a battle daily), she has started coming into her own. Her feisty little personality changes every single day, we are going to have our hands full!

Battle of the Red Heads

Scarlett is starting to be "aware" of Gus and Cinni. Here she is mad that Cinnamon is not paying attention to her!

Practicing Rolling (with Lola's help)

This is Scarlett's first practice session with my mom and I having her try to roll. We didn't expect much and she completely surprised us by just getting with it.  My mom is barely helping her, she's doing it for the most part on her own. I guess she was just ready :)

Ye Ol' Renaissance Festival

Yesterday, we took Scarlett (and Jason) to their very first Renaissance Festival in ye ol' Bonner Springs, KS with Kari and Ryan. Scarlett was feeling pretty good and was such a trooper all afternoon. Daddy carried her around in the Bjorn and she loved just looking around at everything and all the people (weirdos). We had giant smoked turkey legs, pickles, jumbo polish sausage on a stick, good beer, and cider! Yummy. Scarlett and daddy even did some knife throwing and won a knife throwing champion sticker. After we made it home in the early evening, S had a second wind and went to town kicking on her play mat. Which is a big deal for us, with her acid reflux, she doesn't get to spend too much time on her back and she loved it!
